Funeral service for Rickey D. Potter, age 66 of Charlotte,TN will be on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 2 p.m at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 23, 2016 from 11 a.m.to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery,Peagram, TN.
Rickey passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at his residence in Charlotte, TN.A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Gloria Ann Potter, loving sons Calvin (Evelyn) Potter, Jason (Tammi) Potter, David (Cassie) Potter, grandchildren Kenneth Clark Potter, Stephen Blake Potter, Ryan Todd Potter, Kara Lynne Potter, McKenzie Riann Potter, and Joshua Lucas Potter. He is also survived by his parents Kenneth and Margaret Potter and sister Paulette Potter.
Mr. Potter served in the US Army from 1969-1971,completing a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was a self-employed contractor who enjoyed woodworking, fishing and outdoor activities.
