Richard Majors

A Memorial Service for Richard Wayne Majors, age 66, will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until the time of service.

Richard was born on January 15, 1957 to Charles Wallace Long Sr. and Mary Margaret Hughes in Clarksville, TN. He passed away on April 17, 2023.

Richard enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed being outdoors, grilling, fishing, gardening, walking, and relaxing in the park. Richard was a self taught mechanic and carpenter. He had a passion for working on cars, especially when others believed it couldn't be fixed. Richard made it work. He truly was a jack of all trades.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Sandra E. Oneal, 5 siblings and granddaughter Joslyne Majors.
Richard is survived by his children, LaTanya (Dwight) Jemison, Crystal Majors, Craig Majors, and Angela Majors, grandchildren, Jasmyne Hughes, Jada Young, Avry Hughes, and Donovan Jemison, and siblings, James Majors, Clarissa Majors, and Larry Sweat.
