Richard Eugene Harper, age 90 of Clarksville passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 at his residence. The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014 and 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Harper was born in Cumberland Furnace, TN June 6, 1924 to the late Richard Allen and Ethel Jobe Harper. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sara Crow Harper. He was retired from Life of Georgia Insurance Co. and had a love for farming.
He is survived by sons, Randall (Barbara) Harper, Ralph (Karen) Harper; daughter, Gwen (Jimmy) King; grandchildren, Gilbert (Kerry) Harper, Shelley (Gavin) Bearden, Lori (Jim) England,
Sara Harper, Ryne Harper, Reed Harper; great-grandchildren, Haley Bearden, Brighton England, Kinsley England; brother, Thomas (Joyce) Harper; sisters, Ruth Warren and Sara Register.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hilldale UMC Memorial Fund, 1751 Madison St., Clarksville, TN 37043.
