Funeral service for Rev. Johnny Earl Conway, age 63 of Clarksville, will be Friday, November 6, 2015 at 3:00 pm Sykes Chapel. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 pm and again on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 1:00- 3:00 pm at the funeal home.
Johnny passed away on Monday, Nov 02, 2015 at Centennial Medical Center. He was born on Sep 23, 1952 in Harrison, Arkansas to the late Johnny and Ruth Stratton Conway. He was pastor and active member of First Church of God.
He is survived by his wife Shirley of 38 years, son, Johnny Conway, his wife Brittany, and their children Bethany Walsh and Nathan Conway, daughter Jennifer Fry, her husband Chris and their children Zelda, Lexi and Tristan, Step - son, Donnie Shy and his wife Debbie , brother Mike (Linda) Conway, sisters Belinda (Jay) Gardner, Becky (Michael) Gammill and Susie ( Larry) Stone. As well as numerous neices, nephews, and friends.
Johnny served in the United States Army where he earned the Commadation Medal. He was chairman of Veterans Temporary Emergency Assistance Program and a member of Vietnam Veterans Association. The Combat Vet Motorcycle Association, Jerry Simmons, Casey Sasser and Brother Charles McEwen will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to VTEAP.
