Rev. Joe T. Hurst Rev. Joe T. Hurst, 80, Adams, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Len Scott officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 10:00 A.M. until hour of service Wednesday at Sykes Funeral Home. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangments. Rev. Hurst was born October 8, 1927 to the late Lawton and Georgia Grizzle Hurst. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margorie Jo Ann Thompson Hurst. He was a retired Free Will Baptist minister and retired from the State of Tennesee. He was a member of Pardue Memorial Free Will Baptist Church. He also served in the U.S. Army and Air Force. He is survived by son, Rick Hurst of Clarksville and daughter, Judi Sinks also of Clarksville, brother, Ellis Hurst of CA., sisters, Uila Barger of AL, Deortha Moore of FL, Idella Followell of OK, Celia Foster of CA, 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Derreck Hurst, Taylor Beals, Bill Powell, Ron Hurst, Delbert Wood. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pardue Memorial Free Will Baptist Church, 1895 Memorial Drive, Clarksville, TN
