Visitation for Rick Corzine, age 88 of Clarksville will be held Friday, August 18, 2017 from 5:00PM to 6:00PM at Sykes Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Riverview Cemetery.
Rick Corzine, or "Prodge" as he was known at a younger age, died August 13, 2017. He was born October 15, 1928 in the small town of Karnak, IL, to Roscoe and Emma (Cheek) Corzine. Rick lived his life full of vitality, commitment to family, friends, country, and Christian values.
Rick graduated from Karnak HS as an athletic standout in basketball. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and throughout his 25 plus years of service rose to the highest enlisted rank of Chief Master Sergeant. During this time he held numerous leadership positions and finished his career as the Wing Sergeant Major of the 341st Strategic Missile Wing at Malmstrom AFB MT.
After retirement from the Air Force, he moved to the Clarksville area and became involved in numerous local activities such as City Council projects, Senior Olympics, and providing entertainment acts to the local Senior Centers, along with a lot of hunting, fishing, and golf with friends.
Following the 2003 loss of his wife of over 50 years, Peggy Jeanne, Rick became very involved at the Ajax Senior Center and rarely missed a dance, bible study or bingo game.
He is survived by his long time friend Vernell Moser; sister, Carolyn Jones; son, Dick (Bobby Buls) Corzine; grandson, Scott (Heidi) Corzine, 4 wonderful great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rick (Prodge) Corzine will be greatly missed, but we take pride in the enduring values of integrity, discipline, hard work, athletics, love of outdoors, and a vitality for life and fun that he passed on to future generations.
