Reta Hamilton

Reta Jane Hamilton, 61, Nashville, TN, died Saturday, June 14, 2008, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 12noon Monday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Doug Summers officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at Sykes Funeral Home. Sykes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs.Hamilton was born on Janurary 21, 1947 in Clarksville, TN, daughter of James D. and Lydia Frances Condra Hamilton. Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her mother, husband, Eddie L. Bell and sister, Mary Alice Vaughn. Ms. Hamilton graduated from A.P.S.U. in 1967, she was a research Biologist at Vanderbilt University for 25yrs. and was employed with Metroploitian Nashville Water Department for 6 years. She is survived by her father, James D. Hamilton of Clarksville, TN; niece & nephews, Mark Vaughn, Chris Vaughn, Lydia Hogan and Laura Hill-Moran; great niece & nephews, Jerrod Vaughn, Jenna Crause, Kevin Vaughn, Amy Vaughn, Christina Vaughn, Aiden Vaughn, Jessica Hogan, Joshua Hogan, Jordan Hogan, Joey Hill, Derek Hill and Allison Wallace, caregivers, William Phillips and Rosemary Williams. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
