(Ret.) 1 Sg Lee Higgins

Funeral services for (Ret.) 1SG Lee Junior Higgins, age 87 of Clarksville, will be Saturday, Dec 31, 2016 at 11:00 am at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec 30, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home and on Saturday, Dec 31, 2016 from 10:00 am until the time of service.

Lee  passed away on Tuesday, Dec 27, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare.  He was born on Sep 21, 1929 in Portland, MI to Issac Lee and Eva Jane Higgins.  He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean conflict and Vietnam war. Lee was the retired owner of LJ Concrete, he enjoyed woodworking and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He formerly worked at RC cola and Coke bottling companies.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Sagar Higgins, brothers Clayton, Bud, Archie, and Jimmy; sisters, Marge, Irma, and Betty; grandsons, Allen and Kirt.

He is survived by his wife, Lennie J. Higgins;  sons, Michael (Ginga) Higgins; Steven (Marie) Higgins; Waylon (Michelle) Vinson; Roger (Laura) Sagar; Jack (Kim) Sagar; Ronald Sagar; Donald (Maureen) Sagar;  daughters, Linda (Jimmy) Wortham; Joy (Bill) Edwards; Annette (Jeff) Woodward; Janet (Tommy) Dennis; Judy (Mike) Taylor; Brother, Bill (Paula) Higgins;  sister, June Campbell;  mother of his children, Dessie Higgins;  sister-in-laws, Roberta Hill; Betty Woolam; Betty Higgins; 30 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great and great-great grandfather. We will all miss him very much and will never forget.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, building for the future, 380 dover Rd. Clarksville, TN 37042
