Wendell Woodall, age 72, of Clarksville defeated disease and death on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at his residence. He ran into the arms of Jesus and Jesus knew his name. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Madewell and Rev. John Richardson officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church and 9 a.m. until hour of service at the church on Saturday. Burial will follow at the Woodall Cemetery. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Woodall was born July 5, 1939 in Montgomery County to the late Leonard and Fannie Smith Woodall. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Adgate Woodall and an infant brother.
He was retired from the Trane Co. and worked at Freedom Motors in Fredonia. He was a member and Deacon at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and a member of the Clarksville High School class of _
