Ray Carter

A Celebration of Life for Ray Carter, 88, of Clarksville, will be Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church in the Faith Sanctuary. Bro. Roger Freeman and Bro. Ronny Raines will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 16, 2021  from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Faith Sanctuary and again on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

Ray was born on December 3, 1932 in St. Louis, MO to James Arthur and Maribelle Hibbs Carter. He passed away peacefully at home on November 13, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Ray started Clarksville Memorial Company in 1966. Even after his "retirement" he worked everyday. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Ray loved and cherished his family and enjoyed fishing and history.

In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Anne Carter; son, Michael Ray Carter; 3 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his daughters: Pam (Steve) Claxton, Debbie (Troy) Langenburg, Cathy (Jereme) Miner; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Abraham, Wes Claxton, John Abraham, Hank Miner, Steve Claxton, Jereme Miner, Andrew Snider, and Troy Langenburg.
