Paul Hughes

Paul Edward Hughes, 78, Clarksville, died Saturday, September 27, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Sykes Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday and from 10:00 A.M. until hour of service Tuesday at Sykes Funeral Home. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hughes was born May 24, 1930 in Montgomery County to the late Henry Edward Hughes and the late Goldie Bell (Crawford) Hughes. He was also preceded in death by a son, Paul "Frankie" Hughes. He was a farmer and retired from the Trane Company. He is survived by his wife, Jeanete (Sivels) Hughes; son, George (Joy) Hughes, of Clarksville; daughters, Laverne (Randy) Horn of Palmyra and Sherry (Kevin) Grant of Clarksville; brother, Richard Hughes of Clarksville; sisters, Laura Bell Baggett of Palmyra, Annis Herndon of Cunningham; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Micheal Baggett, Phillip Hughes, Matthew Grant, Jonathan Hughes, Johnny Hughes, Mike Hughes, Wesley Huges and Freddie Matthews.
