Patricia "Faye" Perry

Patricia Faye Abbott Perry joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in her heavenly home on November 19th, 2024 at the age of 82. 

She was born August 19th, 1942 in Clarksville, TN to William Henry Abbott and Lucille Smith Abbott. 

She married Butch Perry on January 23rd, 1960, and they spent 63 joyful years together before his death in 2022. She selflessly cared for him throughout his final years, living out her vows of “in sickness and in health.” 

She was a caretaker by nature, looking after her parents, her husband, and her family. Though she had no medical degree, she was the family doctor, prescribing Heinz White Vinegar as the cure for any ailment. 

Faye worked out of her home as a beautician. For decades she welcomed ladies in, offering both her hair styling expertise and her friendship.

She was a longtime member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, where she brought her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to join her in learning about and worshipping the Lord. To those she loved, she was a reminder of Jesus’ selflessness, always making sure the needs of others were met before she even considered her own. Faye is reunited in heaven with her husband, her parents, and her two sisters, Barbara Wallace and Ada Mae Gaither. 

She is survived by her three children Tony Perry, Kim (Gary) Herndon, and Nathan (TJ) Perry; her six grandchildren Keri (Blake) Lehman, Alisha (Will) Simpson, McKinley (Jackson) Lockhart, Nicholas Perry, Savannah Perry, and Cady Perry; her three great-grandchildren Braylon Lehman, Tucker Lehman, and Crew Simpson; her brother Terry (Dorris) Abbott, and countless other friends and family who will cherish her memory and miss her dearly for years to come.

Join her family as they celebrate her life. Visitation will be Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home and Friday, November 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Pleasant View Baptist Church followed by a service. 

Pallbearers will be Blake Lehman, Braylon Lehman, Will Simpson, Jackson Lockhart, Jason Scott, and Lathe Gaither. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Perry, Tucker Lehman, Terry Abbott, and Troy Gorney.
