Ouieda H. Grant - 1921 Ouieda H. Thompson Grant, 89, Clarksville, died Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shawn Berry officiating. Burial will be in 1st Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. today and from 12:00 P.M. until hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Grant was born in Montgomery County on March 20, 1921 to the late Larkins Perry and Hattie Clay Wickham. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Walter Dan Black and Charles Grant, a son, Walter Dolan Black; sisters, Marcia Bryant and Atha Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by son, Robert Lemoine (Patricia) Black; step-son, Tommy Grant; daughter, Ginger Black; step-daughter, Bonnie Mimms; brother; Mack (Barbara) Hayes, sister; Elaine (Carroll) Ellis; five grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Josh Jagers, William (Buddy) Black, Timmy Emerson, Tommy Williams, Cody Parson and Matthew Potter.
