Funeral service for Orville Amos, age 84 of Goodlettsville, will be Monday, April 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM at McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny Carver officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodletsville. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
Orville passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Creekside Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents Strange and Nora Amos and seven brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughter, Pam Banks, and grandsons: Eric Lippe his wife Darlene and children Zachary, Branden, and Kyndal; Steven Lippe and wife Breanna and children Sean and Lillian; and Anthony Lippe his wife Laura and children Emma Kate and Caleb, and nephews Gary Amos and Steve Tanner.
Orville served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper from 1954-1956. After his service he spent time working in auto parts delivery which aided in his love for working on cars. He was a collector of many antique automobiles. His favorites being a 1963 Studebaker Avanti and a 1973 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible.
