Opal Brumley

Opal Lee Brumley age 85 devoted wife and mother. Surrounded with lots of love from her family and friends went to be with the Lord of September 26, 2009. She was a native of Commerce, Texas but has lived in Clarksville, Tn. for the last 50 years. She was the daughter of the late George and Ethel Taylor. She was also prededed in death by her loving husband James David Brumley and a daughter Shirley Brumley Gilbert. She is survived by a daughter Barbara (Dwight) Slate of Cumberland Furnace, Tn. and a son David (Linda) Brumley of Murfreesboro, Tn. Five grandchildren Jimmy(Robin) Slate of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Bridgitte (Mark) Wright of Clarksville, Tn., Neil (Petra) Gilbert of Germany, Marcus Gilbert of Spring Hill, Tn., and James Brumley of Murfreesboro, Tn. Four great grandchildren Zachary (Elizabeth) Wright, Taylor (Regina) Wright, and Joey Wright all of Clarksville, Tn. and Cody Slate of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Two great great grandchildren Callie Wright and a baby on the way by the name of Gabriel Wright. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at First Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery in Palmyra, Tennessee.
