O.C. Groves

A graveside service for O.C. Groves, 92, of Cunningham, will be Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Rye's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pastor Anthony Daley will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home.

O.C was born on July 22, 1929 in Clarksville, TN to Oliver and Mabry Harper Groves. He passed on October 6, 2021. O.C. worked for many years as a Maintenance Supervisor at the Zinc plant. He loved attending Rye's Chapel UMC, spending time with his family, watching games with his grandsons, and hunting with his nephews.

In addition to his parents, O.C. is preceded in death by his son, Gary Dean Groves; great-granddaughter, Chelsie; and 4 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Virginia Groves; daughters, Kathy (Mike) Moorefield, Ashley (Richard) White, and Samantha (Rory) Davis; grandchildren: Nathan Moorefield, Courtney Ferrell, Ryan Groves, Patrick Groves, Ava White, and Liam White; great-grandchildren: Kylie, Peyton, Kirsten, Grant, Gracen, and Parker; and many more loving family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Ryan Groves, Patrick Groves, Nathan Moorefield, Grant Groves, Gracen Groves, Tanner Antonutti, and Clayton Walker.
