Norman Rhienhold Grunwald, age 88 of Old Hickory, TN passed away October 9, 2016. He was born in Jersey City, NJ on January 8, 1928. He grew up in Valley Cottage, NY. He was the son of Eric and Matnilda Grunwald, who preceded him in death, as well as his brother, Eric and infant son, Joseph Norman.
He was a member of the United States Military in the Air Force from 1945 to 1951 during the Berlin Air Lift.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret (Stevens) Grunwald, four children, Lisa of Hermitage, TN, Rudolph (Michele Howe) of Amarillo, TX, Eric (Helena) of Mount Hope, NY, Greta of Hermitage, TN, four precious grandchildren; Victoria, Jesse, Frank, and Saige, sister, Matlida Magnatta (Alfred) of New City, NY, brother, Ernest Patrick Grunwald of Alabama and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He had been a member of the Otisville, NY Fire Company and enjoyed bowling and golf. He will be cremated with burial at a future date. Sykes Funeral Home, Clarksville TN
