Nancy Elizabeth Hembree

A Celebration of Life service for Nancy Elizabeth Hembree, age 80, of Clarksville, TN, will be Monday, June 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest alongside her late husband, Edwin Proctor at Rye's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Bro. David Mackens will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.

Nancy was born on July 16, 1941 in Clarksville to Cecil and Lucy Bell Hollis Groves. She passed away on May 31, 2022. Nancy was a caregiver for most of her life and enjoyed helping others. She loved spending time with her family, dancing, reading, cooking, and putting puzzles together.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy is preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Jarman; and siblings Lois Groves Green and Paul "Bubba" Groves. She is survived by her son, Eddie (Sara) Proctor; daughter, Carol (Ricky Tinsley) Proctor; grandchildren: Adam (Kelly) Proctor, Krystian Tayloe, Shayna (Ty) Jarman, Sagan Bryant, and Cody (Madilyn) Jarman; great-grandchildren: Jayden, Caesyn, Keegan, Kallen, Adylen, and Keelyn; and siblings: Mary Isabel Wall, Sara (Wayne) McWhorter, Helen Ruth Ford, and Sammy (Shirley) Groves.

Nancy's family will serve as pallbearers.
