Mildred Plummer, 87, of Adams, passed away September 20, 2016 in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Visitation will be held at Sykes Funeral Home Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Sykes Funeral Home on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10:30 am with Reverend John Casey of Port Royal United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Living Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mildred was born in Clarksville, Tennessee on January 8, 1929. She graduated from Clarksville High School and went on to marry H.B. Plummer and own, run, and operate Plummer’s Old Store and Museum. She was a member of Port Royal United Methodist Church where she played the organ for over 60 years. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading her Bible, playing the organ, and spending time with family.
Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, H.B. Plummer; parents, Grant and Margaret Bradberry ; three brothers, Edward, Louis, and Joseph Bradberry; son, Ronald Plummer.
Mildred is survived by her brother Mike (Linda) Bradberry of Adams; son Jerry Plummer (Lynn Fick) of Donalson; daughter Judy (Ken) Sadler of Hendersonville; son Michael (Linda) Plummer of Jacksonville; daughter Pat (Skip) Yeomans of Bandon, MS, five grandchildren Amy (Mark) Cork; Jacque (Ron) Head; Bob (Audra) Plummer; Tiffany (Brad) Stevens, and Amanda Plummer. Mildred was also blessed with 10 great-grandchild, 10 nieces and nephews; 16 great nieces and nephews; 13 great-great niece and nephews and she loved every one of them.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Port Royal United Methodist Church, 2947 Highway 76, Adams, TN 37010.
