Mildred Krantz

Mildred Marshall Krantz, age 89, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 at her residence.  Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Walton’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. George Adair and Dr. Larry Robertson officiating.  Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Sykes Funeral Home and 11:30 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Walton’s Chapel UMC .  Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
She was born October 26, 1923 in Hickory Point, TN to the late James Archie and Mary Grace McKay Marshall.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Krantz; daughter, Carolyn Tasker; granddaughter, Jennifer Mooney; brothers, J. Stanford Marshall, H.E. Marshall, Lewis Marshall and a sister, Frances Guffey.
She was a homemaker, an honorary grandmother to many children whom she loved dearly, a member of Hilldale Baptist Church and attended Walton’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by son, Danny Keith (Linda) Krantz; daughters, Lynda Gayle (Ron) Gupton, Ruth Jeaniene (Wayne, dec.) Burney,  Cathy Sharon (Randy) Darcy; brother, John Marshall; sisters, Lillian (Leroy) Davis, Elizabeth Buchanan, Jewel (Harry) Willoughby; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Danny Krantz, Jeff Hollis, Todd Evans, Scott Gupton, Jason Evans and Craig Darcy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s  Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105 or Shriners Children’s Hospital, 2100 Richmond Rd., Lexington, KY 40502.
