Michael Stapleton

Michael Joseph Stapleton,  April 8, 2023

Born June 16, 1955, in Denver, Colorado, to mother Mary Michael (Eddy) Stapleton and father Joseph Daniel Stapleton. Michael is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Stephen and James.

Michael serviced in the United States Marine Corps where he earned the rank of corporal during his four years of service and was awarded a National Defense Service medal and a Good Conduct medal.

Mike spent most of his working life as a pipe fitter, loved his dogs with all his heart, but his biggest passion was music.  He was an accomplished musician and loved to share his talent with others.  He made friends easily and one of his greatest abilities was to put others at ease instantly.   He put this gift to use as an instructor with the Guitars for Vets organization.  Mike taught guitar to veterans, but even more important was how he connected with them.  He was a friend to everyone he met.

Mike is missed by his extended family, and by all the many friends he met along his life journey.

A service will be held at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 10 AM in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Guitars for Vets is appreciated.
