Michael Lawrence Gibbs age 65 of Clarksville went home to be with the Lord at 5:20 PM, Saturday November 12 at Montgomery County Care & Rehab Center. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Tony Chester officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon till funeral hour on Tuesday. Online condolences can be made at www.sykesfuneralhome.com. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory in charge of arrangements. Michael was born September 4, 1946 in Montgomery County. The son of the late Lawrence Monroe & Myrtle Thweatt Gibbs. He was a retired factory worker and farmer. He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. Michael umpired for little league baseball and was a member of several bowling leagues in Montgomery County. He is survived by a brother Johnny E. Gibbs, sister Brenda Kay Gibbs Barr both of Clarksville, nephews Ronald Barr Jr. and Donald Barr, Great Nephew Dustin Barr all of Clarksville.
