Melinda Jewell Knox

A Celebration of Life for Melinda Jewell Knox, 74, will be Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Hilldale Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the church. 

Melinda was born on January 23, 1949 to James Skinner and Nannie Partee in Woodland Mills, TN. Melinda was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church where she and her husband sang in the choir. She enjoyed reading, volunteering at the House of Hope, and listening to Christian music. Melinda loved spending time with her family. 

In addition to her parents, Melinda is preceded in death by 6 brothers, 1 son-in-law, and 1 grandchild . She is survived by her husband, of 22 years, Ed Knox, children, Nichole Bass, Wayne Brewster, Jessica Brewster, Dana Maxwell, and Edward Knox II, grandchildren, Sheradis Bass, Dejuan Bass, Sequoia Bass, Mason Brewster, Donnie Perry, R'riel Coman, Ian Richardson, and Elam Bailey, 6 great- grandchildren, and siblings, Lynn Agnew, Barbara Agnew-Sanders, Joyce Perez, and Charlotte Ray.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hilldale Baptist Church House of  Hope, 112 Lois Road Clarksville, TN 37043.
