Mary Tom Cocke
July 21, 1927 — March 16, 2015
Mary Tom Cocke, age 87 of Clarksville passed away peacefully on March 16, 2015 surrounded by family and friends. Sykes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Sango United Methodist Church with Rev. John Casey officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Sykes Funeral Home and 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Sango United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Sango Cemetery.
Mary Tom was born in Dickson County, TN on July 21, 1927 to the late Herbert and Hazel Proctor Hagewood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Emmett Cocke. She epitomized the devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, always smiling and ready to lend a hand. She served on many boards and committees working to insure that Sango was a great place to live and raise a family. She retired from Perkins and Miller after a career spanning forty plus years. She was an active member of Sango United Methodist Church. She will be missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (Ron) Leath and granddaughters, Lauren and Camille Leath.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
