Mary "Nell" Proffit

A Celebration of Life for Mary "Nell" Proffit, age 90, of Clarksville, TN, will be Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home with Bro. James Sanders and Bro. Steve Lannom officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Thursday from 12:00 PM until the time of service.

Nell was born on December 16, 1931, in Montgomery County, TN, to Herbert and Lillian Morrison. She was a beautician for 45 years and a caretaker for her parents, husband,and any others who needed her.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, John Proffit, sisters, Jinks Morrison and Dot Crick, nieces, Cindy Crick and Jackie Pillers and nephew Jerry Morrison. She is survived by her sister, Margie Pillers, niece, Jennifer (Ted) Cox, 4 great nephews, 6 great great nieces, 1 great great great niece, and 1 great great great nephew.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Morrison, Jarrod Butts, Ted Cox, Michael Cox, Ryan Cox, and William Whitney.

The family would like to thank Tennova Hospice and Tennova Home Health for everything they did for Nell and making it possible for her to be at home.
