Mary Ellen Black

Mary Ellen Black age 71, of Clarksville, passed away on July 16, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Sykes Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Bro. David Mackens and Bro. Gary Akins officiating. Entombment will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

Mary Ellen was born on December 18, 1949 to Marina and Elizar Camacho in Brownsville, TX. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings: Isabelle Shultz and Yolanda Camacho. She  is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Ronnie Black, daughter, Brittney (Mike) South and granddaughters Marlee and Madelyn, and brothers Freddie Camacho and Elizar Camacho Jr., and sister Josie Unsell.

Mary Ellen was a devoted wife to Ronnie and mother to Brittney. Her granddaughters were her pride and joy. Mary Ellen's strength, courage, and positive outlook on life always continued to show through during her many years of sickness. She leaves behind an admirable legacy for all three of her girls to follow.

Pallbearers will be: Sheaffer Stanfill, Dudley Thomas, Timmy Ashby, Josh Perry, Dudley Rives, Tommy Nolen, Rex Williams, and Donnie Black. Honorary pallbearers are Amber Lifsey, Crystal Donish, Nora Ashby, and Faye Shepherd Miller.
