Mary "Sue" Hinton

Mary Sue (Batey) Hinton, 83, passed Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Spring Meadows Health Care Center in Clarksville, TN.

Visitation will be Monday, September 25, 2023  from 11:00 to 12:00 at Sykes Funeral Home. A graveside service and burial in DeLoach Cemetery, Maple Valley Road, Cumberland Furnace will follow at 1:00 with James Riekeman officiating.

Sue was born May 23,1940 in Montgomery County, daughter of the late Hubert Allen Batey and Evie (Deloach) Batey.

She loved collecting bird figurines, action movies and music by Johnny Cash. Her favorite time of year was early Fall and many family vacations were spent visiting Chattanooga and Gatlinburg to see the beautiful foliage there that she enjoyed so much.

Survivors include her three children: a son, Michael 'Randy' Hinton of Clarksville; daughters, Jane Elizabeth Ozmun of Windsor Locks CT, and Evie Christine (David) Lindsey of Clarksville. She was also blessed with three granddaughters, Heather Ozmun, Clara Lindsey and Lucy Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Bob and her grandson Anthony Taylor Ozmun.

The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Spring Meadows and the AseraCare hospice team for the loving care they gave her.
