Mary T. Smithson, age 74, of Clarksville, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at her residence. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will follow In the Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery.
She was born August 31, 1939 in Cheatham County to the late William Eddie and Hallie Gafford Travis. She was also preceded in death by husband, William Luther Smithson and a son, William Eddie Smithson. She was a self-employed hair stylist and bookkeeper specializing in Income Tax Preparation. She was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church.
She is survived by daughter, Dianna Semmler; sister, Dorothy Hall; grandchildren, Alex Semmler, Emmalee Semmler and one (1) great-grandchild, Cole Semmler.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
