Mary Sholar

Mary `Geneva` Moore Sholar, 92, Clarksville, died Saturday, July 17, 2010, at Clarksville Nursing and Rehab.  The funeral will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday at Sykes Funeral Home with Rev. William Luffman officiating.  Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday and from 12:00 P.M. until hour of service Monday at the funeral home.  Mrs. Sholar was born August 31, 1918 in Cheatham County to the late Ernest Burgett Moore and Annie Mae O'Bryan Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Sholar and a son, Gene Sholar.  She was a member of First Church of The Nazerene and a housewife.
She is survived by son, Emmett (Virginia) Sholar; brother, William "Bill" Moore; grandchildren, Missy (Chris) Thomas, Michael (Launa) Sholar; 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.  Pallbearers will be Michael Sholar, Chris Thomas, David Potts, Brandon Bluedorn, William Luffman and Ed Nolen.
