Mary Senseney

February 11, 1923 — August 15, 2016

Mary Kathryn (Kate) Senseney, age 93, died Monday, August 15th, after an extended illness. She was born February 11, 1923, to Charles Leonard Ransdell and Mary Thelma Griffin Ransdell in Montgomery County, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Leonard Ransdell, and Joseph (Joe) Ransdell and a grandson, Jason Wayne Senseney. She was also the widow of Cecil Allensworth Senseney, to whom she was married for fifty years. She is survived by sons Cecil Wayne Senseney (Connie) of Franklin, TN, Lionel Allen Senseney (Lucile), Clarksville, and daughter, Mary Elizabeth McCorkle (Gary) of Adams, TN. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Dawn Senseney, Florence S.C., Dana Cutright (Tim), Nashville, Kathryn Addison (Matt), Nolensville, TN, Lori Fagan (Gary), Brentwood, Allen Senseney, Clarksville, Heather McMillan (Brian), Cape Giradeau, MO, Kimberly Rowlett (Jimmy), Spring Hill, TN. She had ten great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was affectionately known as "Mimi" and "Grandmama". She had a loving heart to all and she made the best chocolate pie ever! She was one of the oldest members of New Providence Church of Christ. A private family graveside service will be held with Bro. Tom Lynch officiating. A Celebration of Life Service will be scheduled at a later date. Details will follow. Pallbearers are Charles Ransdell, Johnny Ransdell, Johnny Michael Ransdell, Jeff Ransdell, Wayne Ard and Conn Butts.
