Mary Motes

A Celebration of Life service for Mary Louise Motes, 90, of Clarksville, TN will be Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Bro. Gary Akins will officiate Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the hour of service. 

Mary was born on July 4, 1934 to Luther and Lilly Rittenberry in Kentucky. She enjoyed gardening and collecting angels and butterflies. Mary was a member on Christ Fellowship Church. Mary was a wonderful mother and grandmother. 

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Motes, sons, John Motes and James Motes, and siblings, David, Robert, Nannie, and Ollie Bell. Mary is survived by her children: Janie (Larry) Gauthier, Annie Mae Motes, Joe Ann Newman, and Betty (John) Hughes, 10 grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, siblings, Martha and Jean.
