Mary Irwin

Mary Elizabeth Irwin, 74, Clarksville, died Saturday, August 29, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at Sykes Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Louder officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at Sykes Funeral Home. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Irwin was born July 22, 1935 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late George Fred and Opal Mae Brown Hagan. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dianne Wagoner of Murfreesboro, TN. She was retired from Shoney's and a member of the Clarksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is survived by son, Corey Ray Irwin of Los Aneles, CA; daughters, Candy Lee Peters of Hopkinsville, Wendy Irwin-Minton of Elizabethton, TN; brother, Charles Fred Hagan of Hopkinsville; sister, Scherrie Ann Beard of Hopkinsville; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Ave., Nashville, TN 37203.
