Mary Christine Wynn Henderson
of Clarksville died Friday, August 28 at Gateway Medical Center.
The funeral will be held at 2 P.M. Monday at Sykes Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Louder officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Sunday and Monday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home. Mary Christine Wynn Henderson, 90, left this wordly place to be reunited with her late husband Carl on Friday, Aug. 28. August being a very special month in her life having been the month she was married, the month she gave birth to her only child, Carl Wynn, and the month in which her husband passed away in 1994.
Born in Benton County, this lifelong resident of Tennessee lived the last 73 years in Montgomery County. She worked for over 40 years at B.F. Goodrich and Vulcan. Affectionately known as "Mamaw Mushie" by her three grandsons, she lived with a wonderful outlook, never complaining, never speaking an unkind word, and always trying to feed you some of her special vegetable soup or a ham sandwich.
She is survived by her son, Carl Wynn Henderson (wife Paula); grandson, Bryan C. Henderson (wife Beth), of Huntsville, Ala.; grandson, Jay W. Henderson (wife Lara), of Chattanooga; great-grandson, Alex; and great-granddaughter, Nyssa Ann. Also surviving are her beloved sisters, Helen Kelly, of Clarksville, and Mae Charlton, of Obion, Tenn.; and brother, Thomas Ray Wynn, of Big Sandy,Tenn.
There will be visitation at Sykes Funeral Home today from 5 to 8 p.m., and again on Monday from 12 to 2 p.m. with a ceremony immediately following, with the Rev. Jim Graves officiating at 2 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Home.
