Martha A. Vowel Wolard, 66, Clarksville, died Friday, July 9, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Sanders officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. The remains are to be cremated.
Mrs. Wolard was born July 18, 1943 in La Grange, Georgia daughter of the late Otis Vowel. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her stepmother Glema Vowel and son Scott Kolher. Early in her career Mrs. Wolard was an LPN and then a Dental Tech Assistant at Fort Campbell for 22 years and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband David Wolard, sons Dean (Cathy) Kolher of Oak Grove, KY, Tracy (Tracy) Kolher of Worcester, MA, Mark Rogers and step-daughter Cheryl Wolard both of Clarksville, 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
