Martha Lynn Mobley

A Celebration of Life for Martha Lynn Mobley, nicknamed "Pete" age 73, of Clarksville, TN, will be Thursday, June 29th, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. She passed away peacefully on June 25, 2023 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on October 14, 1949 in Clarksville, TN to Hugh Batson Sykes and Esta Hayes Sykes, who preceded her in death. 

Despite her limited capabilities for much of her life, due to ever compounding health complications, her gusto for life never wavered. She was an animal lover who enjoyed horseback riding, spending time at the lake with her children and grandchildren, writing poems as gifts for family and friends' special occasions. She and her loving husband, and caretaker, Mike, enjoyed many trips to the lake and Gatlinburg. 

Martha is survived by her husband, of 54 years, Michael "Mike" Howard Mobley: son Matthew (Jennifer) Mobley; daughter Megan (Matthew) Stokes; sister Melinda (Thomas) Cook; and grandchildren: Bennett, Clayton, Callum, Elin, Isla, Reese, and Jackson.
