Marilyn Hewitt Ussery, age 78 of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is charge of arrangements. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. John Casey officiating. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. She was born in Clarksville, TN on March 25, 1935 to the late Lester and Laura Evans Hewitt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ussery; daughter, Debra James; brothers, Edice Hewitt, Billy Hewitt and Doris Hewitt. She was a member of Port Royal United Methodist Church and a home- maker. She is survived by daughters, Yvonne (John) Rice, Laura Ussery; brother, Glen (Juanita) Hewitt, Margaret (Leland) Powell, Linda Cherry; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grand- children.
