Funeral service for Marie Tinch Stratton, age 95 of Russellville, will be Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Bro. Larry Baker and Randy Stratton officiating. Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Spring Valley Baptist Church and again on Sat. from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. All services will be held at the church.
Marie passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab. She was born on March 14, 1920 in Lafayette, TN to Sam and Lizza Law Tinch. She was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Stratton: son, Roger Stratton; grandson, Tony Palmer; great-grandson, B.J. Scruggs.
She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine Palmer of Russellville; son, Phillip (Ann) Stratton of Adairville; son, Bobby (Betty) Stratton of Franklin; son, Steve (Beth) Stratton of Auburn; son, Wayne (Brenda) Stratton of Adairville ; son, Randy Stratton of Clarksville, TN; daughter-in-Law, Jean Stratton of Russellville; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be, Mike Stratton, Lemuel Palmer, Brian Stratton, Morgan Stratton, Stephen Stratton, Scottie Stratton, Blake Stratton.
