Mrs. Marie Ann Kromenaker Parker, 80, Clarksville, died Sunday , January 17, 2010, at her home.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens . Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. til 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 10:00 until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Marie was born 3 May 1929, in Chicago Illinois. She is the daughter of George and Agnes Kromenaker of Chicago Illinois. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Maurice "Chief" Parker, sisters Margaret O'Malley & Terree Nelson. Marie served her country and is a veteran of the Korean War era as part of the Women's Army Corps (WAC) from 1948-1951. She met her husband while on assignment in Yokahama Japan. She was a housewife and a devoted and beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She honored her catholic religion. Survivors include a son LTC (ret) Frederick G. Parker (Lynn) Clarksville, two daughters Cindy Parker Capps (Ty) Jackson, TN & Barbara Parker Murphy (SSG (Ret) Jim), Clarksville; three grandsons James W. Murphy, Jr. (Chrissy) Clarksville, Patrick A. Murphy (Christy) Ft. Myers, FL; Ryan Roesel (Buffy) Cleveland, TN, a granddaughter Kelly Roesel, Cleveland, TN; Seven great grandchildren Arriana, Brooke, Brogan, Lilly, Gavyn, Ana and Chace; a brother Rev. Joseph Kromenaker of Sherman IL and several nieces and nephews.
