Marie McCurdy Neblett, age 93, of Cunningham, passed away May 16, 2014 at Clarksville Nursing and Rehab. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, May 19, 2014 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Melvin Brooks and Rev. Bob Niles officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Monday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at Sykes Funeral Home.
Marie was born in Montgomery County on March 7, 1921 to the late William Warren McCurdy and Betty Wall McCurdy. She worked in the accounting field as a bookkeeper and had been employed by Frosty Morn and The Leaf-Chronicle.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Neblett; son; James Arthur Neblett; brother, Ralph McCurdy.
She is survived by her son, William David Neblett and his wife, Carolyn; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Neblett; grandchildren, Adam Neblett, Jill Neblett and her husband, Greg Colby, Kim Bryant and her husband Mark, and Michael Neblett.
