Maria Thompson, 52, Clarksville, died Thursday, August 12, 2010, at her home. The funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thompson was born January 7, 1958 in the Philippines, daughter of the late Ulpiano and Carocita Mangolas. She was a homemaker, devoted military wife and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Community - Soldiers Chapel Church at Fort Campbell. She is survived by her husband Paul Thompson, her daughter Mary (Jeremy) Reid of Alaska, son Donald Barker of Canada, and three grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
