Maria Gomez Jackson Taggart, age 85 of Adams passed away on Oct 11, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday. at Sykes Funeral Chapel with Rev. Derek Smith officiating. Visitation will be Friday 12:00 noon until the time of service. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
Mrs. Taggart was born July 8, 1926 in Brazil. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Jackson, Jr. her son Donald Wayne Jackson, and grandson Christopher W. Jackson.
She is survived by her husband Robert E. Taggart, sons James Larry (Connie) Jackson and David Michael (Janet) Jackson. Her grandchildren are James Scott Jackson, Cindy Ruth Jackson and Robert Patrick Jackson, great grandchildren Victoria and Carter Jackson.
