Margie Elizabeth K. Thompson, 84, Chapmansboro, died Monday, September 14, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Peg Augustine officiating.
Burial will be in Mallory's United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. today at the funeral home at the funeral home.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Thompson was born May 14, 1925 in Cheatham County, TN, daughter of the late Thomas Arthur and Mattie Mae Evans King.
She was retired with 35 years of service by the State of Tennessee Treasury Department, and member of Mallory's United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her brothers Howard (Evelyn) King; Wayne (Beverly) King, of Chapmansboro, TN; and sister Ann (Chester) Albright of Clarksville. Other survivors include nieces and nephews Glyndan Beasley, Tony Albright, Lanita Puthoff, Wade King; Lyndsey Gower, Todd King, Jayne Ann Stratton, and Jonathan King.
