Margie Louise Brown Minton, 96, Clarksville, died Friday, December 3, 2010, at Hillcrest Nursing Home of Ashland City. The funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Sykes Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Hargrove officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 P.M. Sunday and from 10 A.M. until hour of service Monday at Sykes Funeral Home. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Minton was born in Montgomery County, TN on October 26, 1914 to the late L.T. and Annas Shelton Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Edmond Gupton, Lacy Wilson and John R. Minton; Sons, Noel Gupton, Ken Gupton and a daughter, Fay Magaw. She was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church and was a retired Inspector for Jay Garment Company with 35 years service. She is survived by son, Darrell ( Evelyn) Gupton of Pleasant View, TN; daughter, Kay (Harry) Miller of Clarksville; 19 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
