Margaret Rowena Greene Kelly, age 94 of Mt. Morris, MI, formerly of Clarksville, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 23, 2013 at her residence. Sykes Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 with Rev. Doug Armstrong and Rev. Bobby Kail officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 and 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
She was born in Francisco, Al on April 23, 1919 to the late James Thomas and Margaret Almeda Counts Greene. She was also preceded in death by husband, Manuel Kelly; infant son, Phillip Kelly; 5 sisters and 2 brothers. She retired in 1984 from Clarksville Memorial Hospital and was a member of Crossland Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughter, Gayle (Doug) Armstrong; granddaughter, Kelly (Dave) Buswell; great-grandchildren, Lauren (Phil) Martyn, Lyndsay Buswell, Jonathan Buswell, Jarrod Buswell and Alexa Buswell.
Pallbearers will be Dave Buswell, Jonathan Buswell, Mark Richardson, Jerry Ashley, Jarrett Ashley and Tim Smith.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossland Avenue Baptist Church, 502 Crossland Avenue, Clarksville, TN 37040.
