Maggie Lee Bumpus Baggett, age 99, of Clarksville went to her Heavenly home, Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center. Sykes Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Black officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 12:00 p.m. until hour of service on Sunday at the Funeral Home.
Mrs. Baggett was born July 10, 1912 in Montgomery County to the late Robin and Lena Rose Bumpus. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carter Baggett; sons, Barney and J.W. Baggett; daughters, Brenda and Glenda Baggett; three brothers and one sister.
She was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
She is survived by son, Bobby (Rebecca) Baggett; daughters, Barbara Baggett, Faye (Ivan) Sweitzer, Connie (Larry) Jackson, Becky Varner; sisters, Louise Byrd, Bedie Tucker, Lottie Cook; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Baggett, Michael Baggett, Ricky Cumberland, Scott Jackson, David Hooper and Carter Jackson.
