Mabel L. Sherrill Yates, age 88, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Spring Meadows Health Care Center. Graveside services will be held 11 A.M. Monday, October 10th at the Old Brush Cemetery, Portland, TN with Rev. Jon Justice officiating.
She was born November 13, 1922 in Portland, TN to the late Virgil and Roberta Sherrill. She was also preceded in death by husbands, John Thomas Meyer and Julian Yates.
She was a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by sons, Thomas Wayne (Su) Meyer of TX, Mark A. (Rhonda) Meyer of IN.; 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
