Mabel Yarbrough Haynes, age 86, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at her residence. She was born February 10, 1928 in Montgomery County. She was a life-long member of the Antioch United Methodist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Owen and Sara Byrd Yarbrough and the step-daughter of the late Paul Yarbrough. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William D. (Bill) Haynes and a brother, Paul Thomas (Tommy) Yarbrough.
She is survived by her son, William Jeffery Haynes; daughters, Anita (Jeff) Youree, Sandra (David) Chester; brothers, Charles (Shirley) Yarbrough and Lawrence (Shirley) Yarbrough; sisters, Bettie (Howard) Jones and Janie James; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm on Monday, September 1, 2014 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 31 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Monday from 12 noon until the hour of service at Sykes Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Bobby Mills 451 Fentress Rd, Clarksville, TN 37040.
