Funeral service for Luther Bennett Monroe, age 76 of Clarksville, will be Monday, Oct 29, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Sykes Funeral Home. Rev. Robin Courtney will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct 29, 2012 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Sykes Funeral Home.
Mr. Monroe passed away on Thursday, Oct 25, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center. He was born on Dec 23, 1935 in Clarksville, TN to the late Pat and Lottie Monroe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Juanita Martin Monroe and a Son, Billy Monroe.
He is survived by his Son, James Bennett Monroe of Clarksville; Son, Charles Monroe of Clarksville; Daughter, Patsy Dunn of Ashland City; Grandchildren, James Monroe II, Jennifer Monroe, Charles Jackson, Gary Jackson, Charles Wayne Monroe II, Christopher Shannon Monroe, Chris Dunn, David Cox, and 15 Great-Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Monroe II, Charles Jackson, Gary Jackson Jr., Charles Monroe II, Dickey Martin, and Christopher Dunn.
