A Funeral service for Lucian Lowe Wyatt, 82, will be Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Lone Oak Baptist Church with Bro. Will Binkley and Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home and again at the church on Thursday from 12:00 PM until the hour of service.
Lucian was born on July 2, 1941 in Palmyra, TN to John Andrew Sr. and Elizabeth Allen Wyatt. Lucian enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, quail hunting, and going to farm equipment auctions. For 71 years he had a passion for farming and was fortunate enough to farm the same land his entire life. Lucian was a 1959 graduate of Montgomery Central High School, and then earned a Bachelors degree in Agriculture from Austin Peay College. He was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John Andrew Wyatt, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, of 55 years, Minerva Waynick Wyatt, David Lescault, who was like a son to him along with his wife, Brittany and their son, David Robert, brother of his heart, Tommy (Linda) Rye, sister of his heart, Betty Jane Atkins, Godson, Cody Greene, and special friends Donald and Kim Greene. A special thank you to Amedisys home health and AseraCare Hospice for their care and kindness.
Pallbearers will be: Johnathon Williams, Craig Williams, Eddie Rye, Cody Greene, Gus Crockett, JD Bumpus, Donald Greene, Denny Greene, and Richard Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Lone Oak Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lone Oak Baptist's Greater Things Fund or the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
