A Celebration of Life service for Louis Goring, age 80, of Clarksville, TN, will be Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Bishop Woodson from Living Word Church where Louis was a member, will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
Louis was born on September 23, 1943 in Trinidad to Rupert and Marceline Goring. He passed away on March 28, 2024. Louis was a mechanic by trade and in his younger years, an amateur boxer. A love for his family and great sense of humor are qualities that made Louis so endearing. He loved football, maintaining a pristine lawn, reading Louis L'Amour books, good music, and savoring every bite of a delicious meal.
He is preceded in death by siblings: Janet Joseph , Leon Joseph, Joyce Joseph, Daniel Julien and mother of his children Christine Simmons. He is survived by his children: Debra Woodley Thomas, Patrice Goring, Anthony Goring, Gillian Goring, John-Paul Goring, Crystal Goring, Lloyd Richards, Gale Johnson, Lorain Nicholas, Leona Goring, Janelle Ferrette; mother of his children, Patricia Goring; grandchildren: Nathan Thomas, Nigel Thomas, Shanika Louis, Samoy Mottley, Savion Goring, Jabari Reid, Jordan Reid, Yannick Thomas, Nailah Jeoboam, Amiyah Goring, Alijah Goring, Anthony Louis Goring Jr, Trinnity Goring, Jeremiah Goring, Josiah Goring, Gailann Johnson, Christian Ferrette, Sera Ferrette; great-grandchildren: Kymani Chinapoo, Damien Gayheart, Ky’miah Pompey, Riley Mottley, Khalil Kinsey, Kyomi Frederick; siblings: Thora Henry and Camille Phillips-Boyce; father-in-law to Dermot Thomas, Lateai Goring, Devon Ferrette; nieces and nephews: Declan Julien, Sharmaine Julien, Aaliyah Boyce, Linda Savary, Malika Rodriguez, Akil Henry; cousins: Odessa, Romona, Alina, Ormand, and Verona; and many more loving family members and friends.
